Field Day, Reception, Celebratin' Christine's Birthday

We got up early this morning so we could run to our favorite doughnut shop and get a dozen doughnuts (and a few for ourselves) to drop off at Liz's house for her birthday today. I'm glad we got there when we did, b/c the line wrapped around the inside of the store!

Today was Field Day, but it pretty much rained the whole entire day so they had to move all the festivities inside or under the school awnings. Deb is so great and took this pic and texted it to me, b/c she knows that pictures and memories are one of my love languages. Autumn said that even though they couldn't be outside they still had a lot of fun.

Since it's a long weekend, my boss left early and told me I could go home around 3:00. I was glad to get off early b/c I had A LOT of things I needed to get done. I ran to Costco to get a few things, then I went to Academy Sports to pick up the running bibs for Autumn & I to participate in a Color Fun Run tomorrow. I'm glad I got there around 4:00 instead of 5:30 if I would have had to work my normal hours, b/c the line was already super long at 4:00.

I went and got Autumn, we came home and ate dinner, and then went to the wedding reception for one of my Young Women that graduated a few years ago and got married last week. It was at a really nice neighborhood's club house. As you can see, the younger kids and older kids got a little restless after eating and went to go play in the splash park.

After the reception Autumn & I stopped by the $1 Store to get some balloons for Christine. Then we came home, changed, I took her to the D's house, picked up Karri, picked up Mary, and we went to Christine's house. It's her birthday tomorrow and she wanted to get together and play games tonight. We had so much fun and talked for hours and hours. We finally called it a night at 1:30 am!!!

Autumn LOVED this Snapchat of the Mad Hatter from the new Alice Through The Looking Glass movie.

She also wanted me to post this one in honor of the safari that Papa & Mimi took us on when we visited them in South Africa.
