Welcome Home, Baby Alisa

Last night went pretty well w/ minimum interruptions & being woken up by the nurses. This morning Mary stopped by to check on us. She's the one that did the Cervidil for me. She reminds me of Mary Tyler Moore and for some reason we just hit it off & were kindred spirits. That was so sweet of her to come say hi this morning & meet Baby Alisa. She was by far our favorite nurse, although all of them were great and took good care of us.

Riannon texted to see if she & the kids could come by & say hi. Nick & Savi just happened to show up right before they got there w/ Matthew. It was a full & crazy room, but I'm so thankful for our family and that they wanted to come meet Baby Alisa. We tried Facetiming Mom & Dad but they are on the road traveling to Cape Town for a mission president's conference. It was fun to say hi for just one minute & show them everyone that was there together.

Spencer & Matthew were SO CUTE & Spencer kept giving him hugs. They all stayed for quite a while so everyone could get a turn to love on Alisa.

Since we are going to be leaving this afternoon, we ordered our "celebration meal" for lunch. It includes steak, asparagus, roasted potatoes, a salad, a decadent chocolate cake, & either lobster tail or shrimp. Since I don't like seafood, we got one of both and I gave Frank my seafood. It was DELICIOUS!

I have a feeling this is the first of MANY pictures of us holding the baby while falling asleep. I think we've both forgotten what it's like to have a newborn & not getting much sleep through the night. But she's more than worth it!

We were finally released to go home around 4:00. Sweet Baby Alisa in her going home outfit & decked out car seat. People will for sure know she's a girl from all the pink.

This is the first picture we took at home w/ Baby Alisa.

Nate came over after he got off of work to say hi & love on Baby Alisa. He said it's surreal that he & Riannon will have their own baby girl in a few months.

The Activity Day girls had a fun event tonight. It was a pancake & pajamas Mom & Daughter party. I wasn't able to go, but Autumn went with the L family & still had a blast.

A few families offered to take her with them since they knew I wouldn't be able to go. I'm so thankful for such a loving & incredible ward family.

Frank brought back some Oklahoma soil from the last time he was up there. He planted some okra & a zucchini plant. We have a lot of rabbits that live in our neighborhood, so he put put a little chicken wire fence around the zucchini plant so the rabbits wouldn't get it.

Autumn couldn't wait to snuggle w/ Baby Alisa as soon as she got home from the activity. I LOVE this picture of our sweet girls together.

We're so excited to dress Baby Alisa up in all the outfits that people gave us. She has enough clothes to wear something different every single day for several months! We put her in her first set of jammies for bed time. We also got a picture next to this pink bunny so we can see her progress as she grows & gets bigger and bigger.

This picture makes my heart melt. I had finished feeding the baby & Frank took her to burp her. After she burped he put her on his chest & they both fell asleep. Look at how big his hand is in comparison to her little head. So tender!!! We did good for our first night home w/ our little bug.
