Are you kidding me???

OK, so when I got home from my mission, gas prices were a little over $2/gallon. I thought that was a little bit much, but it's the way it was. Then when gas prices in Utah got close to $3/gallon I was thinking it was ridiculous and that I would never pay $3 or more for a gallon of gas. But then gas prices did go over $3/gallon and it was either stand by the limit I had placed in my mind or walk 30 miles to work, so the limit was removed. But the other night I was running on fumes and stopped at 7-Eleven to buy some gas. It was $3.15 a gallon, which I thought was "good" since most places are $3.21 right now. (By the way, I remember buying gas in high school for .99 a gallon once).

So I was standing there filling up my gas tank. When the cost went past $35, I started to shift a little. Then it kept going higher...$36, $37, $38, $39. By this time, I was looking to make sure I had selected the cheap gas instead of the premium gas. But nope, sure enough, it was the cheapest kind. When it hit $40, I took a gasp and about died when it finally stopped at $41. I was about to croak...$41 for a tank of gas? I remember seeing big old monster trucks fill up for $40. But now my little car was taking $41 worth of gas? This was a sad, sad day for me and my pocket book!

Lisa I know exactly how you feel! I am so outraged at the gas prices too and how they continually are going up. Here it is $3.29!! What's so frustrating is that there isn't really much we can do about it. It's not like we can say well forget about that I will just grow a garden of gas. And you can hold a picket sign but it's not going to do any good. So what can we do? I feel your frustration, and hear the pocket books cries of hunger. ha :)
