OK, funny story. So when I went to visit Tara in the hospital last week, I asked Tara and Michael if they wanted me to bring them anything. All they said was some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. So I stopped and got some and headed down there. They were staying at Baylor Hosptial in downtown Dallas. When I got there, I called Michael and he came out to the car to help me in with all my stuff and the baby.
As we were walking into the hospital, there was this black lady sitting on a bench. She had big hair that she had pulled up on top of her head with a wrap around it, so her hair was about 10 inches high. I just smiled at her as we got close. MISTAKE! As we walked past, Michael was carrying the Krispy Kreme doughnut box. I heard her say something to Michael but didn't know exactly what she had said. When we got into the room, Michael told Tara what happened.
I guess the lady said to Michael, "Yum. I'm hungry. Sure would be nice to have a piece of your pizza." I don't know why, but that made me laugh so hard. I think it was the fact that we had doughnuts and not pizza. But we all got a good laugh out of it. Gotta love those hospital hobos!

Julia got SUCKERED the other day. She had just come out from grocery shopping and bought some protein bars. You know, the kind that are $2 each. This lady stops her and begs for some food. I asked Julia why she didn't give up a protein bar and she said, "They are so expensive. I wasn't going to give up one of those!" What did she do instead? TOOK THE WOMAN TO WENDY'S AND SPENT OVER $10 ON FOOD!!! She got suckered. lol.
