I love nature

Today I saw the most amazing sunrise. I had just dropped Autumn off at day care and was headed to work when I saw the most gorgeous sunrise. This picture I found on the internet doesn't even begin to do it justice. If I wasn't already 10 minutes late, I would have pulled my car over to get a picture of it. It was one of the picturesque sunrises that you'd think of seeing in Africa on a safari. Too bad it only lasted for about 2 minutes. I'm lucky I didn't get into an accident while driving, b/c I kept turning to look at it through the trees and between buildings. I miss the sunrises in Utah, b/c you would get to see the rays of sun streaming over the mountain peaks. But Texas sunrises (and sunsets) for that matter are gorgeous b/c it's so flat and you can see forever. I've sat and watched the sun slowly disappear, which was pretty neat. It's pretty incredible when you stop and think of how it all works...the sun goes down, and we all just trust that it will come up the next day. Anyways, I love nature...not the live in the jungle like on Survivor type nature, but just nature in general. My favorite "nature thing", though, has to be rain and thunderstorms. They just make me super happy.

What's your favorite "nature thing"?

I miss Utah. My favorite was a lightning storm near the mountains. Stunning. Now that I'm in Georgia, I love the green. EVERY.THING.is green!

My favorite nature thing is when the leaves turned colors in the fall. We used to live in Ohio, and the colors were spectacular: yellows, red, oranges, greens, browns. It was gorgeous. I miss walking and going on drives with the family looking at the leaves. We used to go and pick apples at an orchard and watch them make apple cider. It was the coolest nature "thing" we used to do.
