Thursday afternoon, after everyone had left for the football game, I got a HORRIBLE pain in my back. Jon had adjusted me earlier that morning and I felt fine. But after we ate, I laid down on the floor to take a nap and couldn't move after I woke up. Luckily there were other adults at Aunt Sandy's to help with Andrew and Autumn. I couldn't pick either of them up, and could barely walk for that matter. After they got back from the game, I had Jon adjust me again, and that helped. But sitting in the car on the 2 hour trip home, my lower back started hurting again. I got home and could barely even move. I went to bed and just cried b/c it hurt so bad. This morning, Dad gave me some muscle relaxers and some good drugs (hydrocodone), and I just sat in the recliner with a heating pad on my back. That helped a lot, and the fact that I got to love on this week old baby helped too.
As you can see, Autumn was very intrigued by the baby and wanted to touch her and give her kisses. I look all drugged out, b/c I am! Thank goodness for modern medicine. I am feeling much better now tonight. I have a whole new appreciation for anyone who has back pain, b/c that is about the most painful thing I've ever experienced. I hope it's just a pulled muscle and not something more serious. OUCH!
