Here is a new way to prepare your Thanksgiving Turkey.
1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully. (see attached picture for details)
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces...
May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Someone sent that to me in an email, which made me laugh. I am so excited, b/c I only have to work until 2:00 today! YEAH! And then I have 4 days in a row off. I don't know what I'm going to do with all of that free time. I really want to go see the new Disney movie, Enchanted. I'll probably go home today and help my mom cook pies and the yummiest rolls that just melt in your mouth. We are going to go out to my Aunt & Uncle's house out in Weatherford. And it's supposed to drop 30 degrees today, which will be a nice change. I was just realizing that I am 28 years old and have never had to make a Thanksgiving dinner. I've just always been inivited to spend Thanksgiving with family, where they did all the hard work of cooking and preparing. I just showed up with my one dish and that was it. I guess that's one thing to be thankful for! :) Although, I know someday I'll be the one doing it all and I'm excited for that. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving it amazing and wonderful. We all have so much to be thankful for, but me especially.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
