Divorce

Well, it's offical...I got a text last night from my lawyer that the judge signed the papers and the divorce is final. Exactly 7 months (minus one day) from the day I packed up a few things and went to stay at Rufio's, I found out that I am no longer legally married. Most people's response to the news is, "Great! Now you're free!" And I guess I should be happy, but I'm not. Divorce is never a fun thing. I know in some cases it is a good thing (such as abuse), but that doesn't take away the fact that a marriage and family has ended. There was an EXCELLENT talk given by Dallin H. Oaks about divorce. This is just the end of one chapter of my life and the beginning of another, I guess! Now my relationship status is...divorced! Sad, b/c I never wanted to be one of those people to have to say that I'm divorced, but that's what I am, so I'll just have to get used to it!
