Thumbs Up
Today on the way home from work, Alison (the new girl at work that totally reminds me of Sis. Mitchell from my mission) and I were driving through construction zone and there was this dorky teenage kid and his friend in the lane to our left. There was a little space between me and the car in front of us and the dorky kid pulled right in front of us and squooze (is that a word?) into the spot. I was about to honk at him when all of a sudden he waves in his rear view mirror at me. That's a common thing for us Texans to do when someone lets us in to a spot while driving. It's a way of being polite and saying thanks for being nice. So, when he did that I didn't feel like honking anymore. I waved back to him to acknowledge that I saw him wave. It's like he said "thank you" and I said "you're welcome." BUT THEN, this kid rolls down his window, sticks his hand out the window, and gives me a thumbs up. Alison and I looked at each other and just died laughing. It was the funniest thing ever. Who gives thumbs up anymore these days?! Then, we laughed even harder when we saw him give a thumbs up to a car a few lights later that let him in! It totally made my day...maybe I'll start giving thumbs up now when I'm driving!

HAHAHAHAH, I love your little stories. They make my day. I think I would have died laughing, actually I did when reading the story.
