Lexie, Jon, and Andrew got in late last night from driving up from Austin. So, we got up in the morning and had some breakfast and went outside to see Gigi. Autumn loves going out to see Gigi, but Andrew wasn’t too sure about it.
“What the heck is THAT coming out of it’s butt? GROSS!”
After seeing Gigi, it was time to go and jump on the trampoline. What an action shot. I’m pretty sure the kids would have been happy spending all day outside just jumping on the trampoline.
We were eventually able to tear them away from the trampoline so they could go climb the fort w/ Dad. They had fun running around the top of the fort and then going down the slide.
He is such a cute Grandpa w/ Autumn and Andrew. He spoils them rotten and has as much fun as they do just playing. Those 2 kids sure do love him and he loves them.
Lex & I helped Mom just a little with making scrapple and cream cheese bread for tomorrow morning breakfast. I’m so glad we have fun traditions like that to look forward to every year.
The kids are so spoiled that they even got to have smoothies before noon! As you can tell from her facial expression, Autumn was super excited for smoothies.
Curt came over to visit and was teasing Autumn that he was going to wear her diaper. She thought that was the funniest thing ever. I am so glad we have such good neighbors.
This is how we spent the majority of the day…watching Christmas movies. We watched Polar Express, Elf, Home Alone 2, The Santa Clause, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. During all those movies we were also “grazing” on food we had around the house and also played games.
Liz & Liberty came over to visit and brought us some YUMMY cookies. I am thankful for all the great people I know b/c of work.
I think we had worn Andrew out by the end of the day and he was ready to go to bed so that Santa could come visit.
You might be wondering if that is raisinets on the ground. Nope! That is reindeer (AKA goat) droppings. We went over and put this on Curt’s doorstep and the note says, “Johnsons (that’s Curt’s last name too, but we are not related), I’m terribly sorry. Rudolf couldn’t hold it any longer. Merry Christmas, Santa.”
Guess I had better go to bed so that Santa can come visit our house tonight.
