Inauguration Ball

I didn’t get the chance to watch the inauguration of Barack Obama today, b/c I was at work. But I’ve heard it was really good and inspiring. I didn’t vote for Obama, but I do hope that since he is the President that he will make the best decisions possible for the country. And I think it is so amazing that he was just sworn in as the first African American President of the United States one day after the celebration of Martin Luther King Day. That is so neat and special. Tonight when I was watching the news before going to bed they showed Barack & Michele at one of the Inauguration Balls dancing to “At Last.” It really was a tender moment and they looked like they were dancing at their wedding reception. The way they looked into each other’s eyes was so precious and loving and meaningful. On one of the radio stations this morning they were talking about how when Barack and Michelle met in college and were dating and got married they probably had NO IDEA that this is where they would be later on in their lives.

obama dress

I do have to say that I did NOT like her dress at all. It reminded me of a game I played at my bridal shower where the guests make you a dress out of toilet paper. Her dress kind of looked like shredded up toliet paper. Plus, I don't think it's very flattering to her cute figure. Don’t you think we look like her?

That picture brought back some fun memories. I liked yours and Lexi's dresses better.

I agree about the dress...I wanted to like it, but I don't think it did very much for her figure.

I just laughed out loud, not just in my head! You are right, the dress didn't do anything for her. I am interested to see how this will turn out with them. They do seem like a loving couple!

I have to say you can wear the dress a lot better. Have I seen you on vogue in that dress?
