Today at work Liz planned a fun evening out for us to go to dinner and a movie. If it weren’t for her, I would probably just sit at home all the time, so I’m glad that she helps me to get out and have some fun. Anyways, daycare called today at 12:00 to say Autumn was running a fever, so Mom & Dad went and picked her up for me. I am so appreciative of all that they do for me to help make my life so much easier. I couldn’t do it w/out them. Anyways, when I got home Autumn was asleep but I woke her up so she would go to bed tonight. She was running a fever, so I gave her some medicine and she perked right up. But I love it when she’s cuddly and snuggly. I cherish those times, b/c most of the time I can’t get her to sit still for 30 seconds. But tonight she let me just snuggle w/ her for a few minutes. I decided to make some cookies for Don b/c he had a rough day at work today, plus we love snickerdoodle cookies, too. I have the yummiest and easiest recipe for soft snickerdoodle cookies. YUM! Autumn was a good little helper and even helped me lick off the beaters.
We met at Chili’s to get some appetizers and drinks before the movie. Liz & Don were having a straw fight while we waited to order. The conversation is always fun and crazy and unpredictable w/ Liz there. She cracks me up.
Liz & Liberty got the molten cake and he put a little bit of chocolate on the corner of her mouth. She doesn’t seem to happy about it, but I love how proud he is of himself.
Alison & Braulio came and met us at Chili’s before the movie, too. She saw that Liz & Liberty were sharing food, so she decided to share a queso kiss w/ Braulio. We were all in such a fun and silly mood. I love being around happy and fun people. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do.
Here’s our version of chips and queso. Don has the chip in his mouth and I have the cheese w/ my big old goofy grin.
After we ate, we headed over to the $1 theater to watch Yes Man. There was one part that did NOT need to be in the movie. But other than that, I really really liked the movie. I didn’t have very high expectations for it being very good but it really was. It gave me a lot to think about such as how I live my life and some things I can CHANGE.
I know I say this all the time, but I really am so grateful to have such good people as my close friends. I’ve always been so blessed my whole life to be surrounded by good people. People who make me laugh, who are fun to be around, who know how to have a good time, and who make me a better person.
