We had such a fun morning. I actually got to sleep in until 7:30 until Autumn woke up. We watched the Disney Channel and let Dad sleep until 10:00 and then decided we wanted to wake him up. We went outside to feed Gigi and I thought this was the cutest picture of Autumn & Dad. Do you think she loves him at all???
We set up the badminton net and then played a game. It was nice having Autumn there b/c she would go and pick up the birdie for us. And she kept yelling stuff we couldn’t understand, but I’m pretty sure she was doing some trash talking. LOL!
We were even able to get Mom & Nick to come out and play w/ us. We were laughing so hard and had so much fun.
I ran to WalMart to get some last minute groceries, and then Autumn helped me make green snickerdoodle cookies and green jello-o for the party. She also kept walking around wearing the green bowl as a hat.
Don, Liz & Liberty were the first ones there. We ate hot dogs and then played a game of badminton. As you can see in Liberty’s racket, the birdies kept getting stuck in the rackets. We were all laughing and having a good time (despite the look on Liz’s face).
Alison & Braulio got there around 5 and we played some volleyball. This was a good action shot of Don & Liz. We had a good time playing and then went in to eat some more and get in our swimsuits, b/c we wanted to get in the pool. Even though it was cold outside, we got hot running around playing volleyball.
Don, Nick, & I all jumped in the pool and then went and got in the hot tub. Something funky was going on w/ my swimsuit and it kept getting air bubbles in it and made me look like I have the BIGGEST ghetto booty ever!!! LOL!
Here’s the party poopers that didn’t bring their swimsuits so they couldn’t go swimming. But I was still just glad they came, b/c we had so much fun.
Once Eric & Danna got there, we went out to the backyard to do the St. Patrick’s Day hat piñata. We let Liz go first and then Alison, and Alison busted it open.
Autumn had fun picking up as much candy as her little hands could hold.
Liz made this green cake, which just looked like a blob of cake, but it sure tasted good and was super light and fluffy.
We tried to have as much green food as possible…green fruit, frog eye salad, green snickerdoodles, green cake, and even green jell-0. I found these cute little shamrock mugs at WalMart, so we did jell-o shots (minus the alcohol, so it was just plain jell-o).
After we got out of the hot tub, we ate some more and then it was time for karaoke. The girls all sang, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” I love this picture of us all just belting it out. Then the guys got up and sang, “Johnny Be Good.” The lyrics go so fast that it just sounded like they were making words up and we were all laughing so hard!
Everyone got to leave w/ a lovely parting gift. Eric & Danna got a box of Lucky Charms.
Don got a sign that says, “If you’re kissing, I’m Irish!”
Liz & Liberty got these HUGE lollipops. They didn’t have green, but if you put blue and yellow together, that makes green.
Alison & Braulio got matching green flashing rings.
Once we’d all eaten for the 5th time and finished w/ our karaoke, we did jell-o shots (no alcohol) and then watched a really good movie called Four Feathers. It was such a great party and hopefully everyone had a good time, b/c I know I sure did.
