Liz said she wanted to go out for lunch today. I’ve been trying to just bring my lunch to work or have groceries there so I save money by not eating out. But, I’m glad she wanted to go to lunch today, b/c I needed to get out.
I know I am making a silly face, but this is how I felt this morning. I was trying to get payroll done and found out someone had entered 90 stops into the computer wrong, so I had to go back and fix each stop ONE.BY.ONE!!! I was already stressed, so that just added to the craziness. It was so nice to get out and relax and laugh w/ Liz. Plus, this chicken burger and onion ring at Purdy’s were super good.
Mom had to go pick up at Autumn from daycare for me b/c they called and said she was running a low grade fever and had thrown up from coughing so much. When I got over to Mom & Dad’s, Autumn was just laying on the couch and was lethargic. I gave her some children’s motrin and within 10 minutes she had perked right up and was back to her fun and crazy self. Mom wanted to get out, so we went to Cheddar’s for dinner. Autumn must have decided my hair looked like a mess, b/c she started acting like a hair stylist. She is such a little monkey and is moving NON-STOP! She wears me out.
While we were eating, the news was on, and they were showing that a huge storm was coming. We were going to leave so we were home before the storm hit, but Mom wanted to get a cookie monster. Those things are SO AMAZING! Anyways, this was the view when we got in the car. As soon as we pulled out of the parking lot, the rain drops started hitting the window shield. The drive home usually takes 7 minutes. However, it took us over 30 minutes to get home b/c of the torrential downpour! I absolutely LOVE rain and lightning and thunderstorms.
We got to Mom & Dad’s house, and all of the power was out, so the garage door wouldn’t go up. I had to get out and go in the house and open it manually. By just running up to the door I got DRENCHED! I was sad the power was out, b/c I missed So You Think You Can Dance. We light some candles and got out some flashlights. We just sat and talked and Curt came over to say hi. At 9:30 Autumn and I finally left to come to our house. The power was out here, too. So, we just went to bed, which was nice to get some extra sleep and to fall asleep to the sound of rain on the roof.
