…I was in Slovenija w/ Jonesy on vacation having the time of my life.
…eating my favorite pizza at a little cafe in Ljubljana.
…spending time w/ some of my favorite people in Slovenija.
…visiting Pres. & Sis. Aardema at the mission home.
…eating my FAVORITE food in all of Slovenija…kebpaci.
…attending church w/ some of the most faithful Saints in the world.
…experiencing the coliseum in Croatia.
…almost getting attacked in Vienna by a guy that reminded us of Danny DeVito in a scary basement.
I can’t believe that it was FIVE years ago this month that I had the chance to go back to Slovenija w/ Jonesy. SO MUCH has changed since then and I will be forever grateful that we went back to visit while we had the chance. I am so glad I got to experience that w/ Jonesy since she is the one that trained me and is so much fun to be around. Just looking at these pictures makes my heart ache so much to go back. The country, food, culture and most of all the people will forever be a part of me and hold a very special place in my heart. Some amazing things happened while I was serving my mission there from 2002-2003.
- The day I got into the country Elder Holland came to visit (the first time an apostle had been in the country).
- We got the Book of Mormon in Slovene.
- I got to see the first member of the church in Slovenija (Albin Lotric) baptize one of his children.
Serving a mission was one of the best experiences of my life and I will be forever changed b/c of it. And being able to go back a year later to visit (not as a missionary) was such a wonderful experience. It’s been great to stay in touch w/ some of the members there.
RADA VAS IMAM!!!
