Superb Saturday

Michael drove up here yesterday after taking his family out to dinner. He got here around 10:30 and we watched Disturbia (scary movie) with Nick. Then we watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It was as funny movie. And if I had to describe Michael to someone that didn’t know him, I would tell them that he is just like Kevin James (the actor on Mall Cop and Hitch and the TV show King Of Queens). He looks like him, he is funny like him, etc. Anyways, then by this time it was 3 am. Nick went to bed and Michael and I stayed up and talked. I thought it had been about an hour, but it had been 3 h0urs, so we just decided to stay up since it was already 6 am and Autumn would be up in 30 minutes. It was such an amazing conversation and I am so lucky to have him in my life. Anyways, Autumn woke up and Michael went to Sonic to get us all breakfast. We had breakfast burritos and Sunrise Smoothies (those things are so good).

He went over to Mom & Dad’s to get some sleep and Autumn & I watched the Disney Channel. Then, Dad came over and we worked on putting cinderblocks around the trees in the yard just to make it look nicer. Autumn loves to “help” Dad in the yard. After a while, he left to go to work. We got our stuff together and went over to Mom & Dad’s.

I had gone to WalMart on my lunch break yesterday to get a few groceries for this weekend and I also got this new car seat for Autumn b/c she is growing out of her smaller car seat. I love it b/c it’s pink and girly and she fits in it just perfectly. She loves it, too.

At 2:30 Dad got home from work (he was back up at the clinic) and we started the PAR-TAY. We had bratwurst, corn on the cob, pasta salad, chips & dip, and the juiciest and sweetest watermelon. It was SO YUMMY. The pool was nice and cool, too, b/c of the rain we got yesterday. I am so lucky to have such an amazing family that loves to spend time together and have fun. I have started to realize that not everyone is as lucky as I am to have a family like that.

It was also a lot of fun to spend time w/ Michael. Liz & Liberty came over and went swimming with us too. I am so glad that Michael gets along w/ them and that they get along w/him. But, we all just mesh and like being together. That’s rare to find another couple where the 2 guys get along and the 2 girls get along and everyone just likes spending time together.

After swimming, we got cleaned up and then Michael & I left to go to dinner w/ his best friend, Jason, and his wife Heather. We met up at Macaroni Grill to eat. They are SO MUCH FUN! I liked them so much and hopefully they liked me too. We just sat and talked and laughed and laughed some more. It was fun to see another side of Michael that Jason brought out. And Heather was so nice. I am definitely looking forward to spending more time w/ them going on double dates.

After dinner, Michael & I went back to Mom & Dad’s for me to pick up Autumn (they watched her for me), but she was asleep so I didn’t want to wake her up. Michael & I were going to watch a movie, but my eyes were so bloodshot from getting no sleep that Mom stepped in and made me go to bed. It was just such a fun and amazing day that I didn’t want it to end. I am so happy!
