Today at work it was really slow, so Liz & I decided to go to lunch at Amigo’s. We love that place b/c you get a ton of food, it’s super tasty, and it’s really cheap…a great combination of things. I love going to lunch w/ her b/c it’s always an adventure. I told the waiter I was going to be paying for both of us b/c she had gotten some groceries for me the other day when I made the spicy chicken soup that I hadn’t paid her for yet. She told the waiter not to take my money b/c had leprosy. I told him she can’t pay b/c she just got released from prison and has no money. He asked who was going to tip better and I said, “me” first, so I got to pay. HA!
Thanks to Mom (THANK YOU, MOM) I was able to go to the temple right after work b/c I’ve made it a goal this year to go at least once a month. I stopped at the LDS bookstore by the temple to get a book for my new calling in Primary. I get to teach the 9 year olds and am excited. Anyways, it was so nice to be in the temple on a cold and rainy Friday night. The session was packed, which isn’t something I often see at the Dallas Temple. I got home and Autumn was so excited to tell me that Mimi had picked her up from daycare and that they had gone to McDonald’s. She’s so spoiled and she loves it.
Autumn went to bed and Mom & I watched this new show on TLC called Four Weddings. They take 4 girls that are getting married and have them all attend each other’s weddings and then they rate the other weddings and whichever wedding gets the most points wins an awesome honeymoon. It was pretty good, but it blows my mind that these women spent $70,000 on their weddings! I spent $4,000 on mine and loved the venue, the flowers, my dress, the cake, etc. I guess I’m just super frugal, and am glad I was born and raised that way.
