Friday Night Fashions

Today after work, Autumn & I stopped by WalMart so we could pick up a few groceries and also to get some movies I had rented online at the Redbox.  We came home and put our pizza in the oven and then put away the groceries.  She disappeared into her room and came back out wearing a different shirt, different shorts, different shoes, and a new headband.  She’s such a little fashionista.  She loves to turn on the oven light and check on the food that’s baking.  She also likes to get out a hot pad so she can pretend to take the food out of the oven with me.

After we ate our pizza, she was thirsty and asked for a drink, which I went and got her.  I went and sat back down on the couch with Nick to watch TV.   Next thing I know, I look over to see if she’s sitting at the table drinking her drink but she’s just chillin’ in her recliner w/ her drink in her hand.  It cracked me up b/c she looked like such a grown up that was trying to unwind from a long day and was sitting there as if it was the most natural and normal thing in the world.

She thought she was really hot stuff when I showed her that the footrest comes up.  I love that she had to smooth and straighten out her skirt.

I had a hankerin’ for easy decadent truffles, so while we were at WalMart we got the ingredients to make some.  She disappeared back into her room and came back out wearing this pink jacket that’s way too small, but she insisted on wearing it while helping me make the truffles.  What a kid!

She wanted to watch a movie in my room, b/c Nick & I were watching the Redbox movies I had rented.  I thought she was in my room watching Snow White, but she came out of her room wearing this…princess jammies, knee-high flowered socks, and her ruby red Dorothy church shoes.  Where does this kid get her fashion sense?  Definitely not from me.

The first movie Nick & I watched was Valentine’s Day, b/c I never got to see it in the theater and always wanted to.  It was a cute movie and I wouldn’t buy it, but I would watch it again.  After that movie, we started Love Happens w/ Jennifer Aniston where she falls in love w/ the self-help guru guy.  I thought it was going to be a romantic comedy, but it wasn’t really funny.  It was a good movie though, and one I would watch again.  Anyways, during the movie Autumn kept coming in to sit with us and then she’d disappear into her room and come back w/ some lotion or a book or something she wanted me to look at (that’s why the end table is so messy).  Finally at 10:30, she came and sat on my lap to get some snuggles and next thing I knew, she was out like a light.

I went and put her in her bed and then went back into the  kitchen to clean up the dishes and put things away.  I went to get in my bed and this is what I found!  She had gotten out of her bed and gotten in my bed along with 8 or 9 of her dolls and toys!  She cracks me up b/c she always has to have an entourage of dolls with her when she goes to bed.

It was a nice Friday night of just staying in and eating pizza, watching good movies, and watching Autumn’s fashion show of changing clothes every hour.
