Today at work it was slow, so I was able to catch up on watching Glee, Biggest Loser, and Parenthood online. I was going to go to Wendy’s for lunch (b/c I ran out of my frozen low-fat frozen meals I usually have stocked in the freezer). But, after watching Biggest Loser I decided to go to Subway and get a sub instead. After work/school, Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s. Dad was outside doing some yard work when we got there, so Autumn decided to stay outside and help him. I went inside to help Mom get dinner ready and then when it was ready I went out to tell them to come in and eat. Autumn was “helping” to move dirt around in the planter boxes.
She looks like such a rag-a-muffin b/c her hair is all messy from a full day of playing at daycare and working in the garden. I kept telling her it was time to go in, but she kept saying, “Just a little bit more, Mama.”
While I was waiting for Dad to finish up, I helped weed one of the planter boxes. Autumn thought she was hot stuff b/c she was able to climb this little tree in the corner of the garden. I asked Dad if he had showed her how to climb the tree and he said no, so I asked how she knew how to climb the tree b/c I had never showed her how to climb a tree. He laughed and said, “she knows how b/c she’s a kid!” I had to call it quits and go inside b/c I started getting attacked by mosquitoes and had 4 big welts swelling up on one arm from getting bit.
Autumn came in and she had at least 10 bites on both arms! Poor girl must have inherited my blood type or pheromones or whatever it is that attracts mosquitoes to me. Christine called and said she didn’t need help tonight b/c she was too tired, and so was I so that was good. Mom & I watched Survivor (poor Jimmy Johnson) and then Modern Family. Modern Family didn’t seem quite as funny as usual tonight, but I still enjoyed it.
Then I took Autumn home and put her to bed and Nick stayed w/ her while I went to WalMart to get some groceries b/c we are out of everything. I found some more pants for Autumn for only $3.50 each (gotta love Garanimals) which is good since it’s going to get colder here pretty soon and I can’t keep sending her to school in shorts. I got home at 11:00 and Nick helped me put the groceries away and then we watched Whose Line Is It Anyway and then my head hit the pillow and I was out.
