Yesterday wasn’t anything special or fancy. Work, school, and then we went over to Mom & Dad’s to watch some TV and eat dinner. We watched Project Runway (I love that show) and then came home and went to bed. Today was about the same…just work and school, but then we got a LOT of rain on the way home. Autumn & I stopped at WalMart to pick up some movies we had rented from the Red Box and when we walked outside, it started to pour. Luckily we were getting in our car right as it really started coming down so we didn’t get too drenched. I LOVE Texas rainstorms, b/c everything is bigger and better in Texas…including the raindrops. I tried getting a picture of them on the windshield, but they were big fat drops that would hit and just spread out b/c they were so big.
You can’t really tell in this picture, but it was coming down hard, and we noticed as we pulled into the subdivision that Dad was over mowing the lawn on the lot! We pulled up by him and yelled at him to go put the lawn mower away b/c there was thunder and lightning! We didn’t want him to get struck by lightning, crazy guy. He came in the house and got cleaned up and then we watched Prince of Persia, which was one of the movies we rented. I thought it was a good movie and had a good plot line to it, although some of the jumping was a little far fetched b/c there’s no way he could have made that jump in real life.
After watching that, it was time for our chick flick. We watched Letters To Juliet, which I thought was adorable. I will probably buy that when it’s been out for a while and is cheaper. There were a few times I couldn’t understand what was being said and I didn’t like how the main guy in it walked funny (his left foot points out when he walks). But, it was cute and a good chick flick movie to watch on a Friday night when you don’t have a date, which is every Friday night for me. The fact that it is set in Italy and the GORGEOUS scenery made me just ache for Slovenija, b/c the streets in Italy & Slovenija look a lot alike. It made me SO EXCITED for my trip there next month. I can’t wait to just walk around the city for a few hours and soak in all the beauty and architecture and history.
