Banana Splits

This morning I had a parent/teacher conference w/ Ms. Megan, Autumn’s teacher.  They have them w/ all the parents this time of year.  Ms. Megan said Autumn is very social and interacts well w/ the other kids.  She also LOVES art and is the best color-er (is that a word?) in the class.  She is always good about staying in the lines.  She said Autumn needs to work on her letters and numbers, which I already knew.  But she said Autumn isn’t way behind the others or anything to be overly concerned about.

P1020552 After work/school we rushed home and I made a quick dinner and then got busy cleaning the house.  Mom called from China on the iPad and said they were there safe and having a blast.  The line kept cutting out so we didn’t get to talk very long but it’s good to hear they are safe and sound.  At 7:00, we had our visiting teaching get together and had banana splits, and then I also had fruit for those who are trying to be healthy.

P1020554 Right before everyone showed up, Autumn disappeared into her room and came out wearing this swimsuit from last year.  I am surprised it still fits b/c she’s grown so much.  She had the time of her life when the big girls played Barbies w/her.  We all sat around and talked for a while and then everyone left at about 8:45.  Autumn didn’t want to go to bed and said she needed to do her “homework”, which is a little worksheet from school.  We practiced our numbers by circling however many of each item it told us to circle.  She had to have a lot of help, but at least she’s wanting to try.

We really need to have people over to our house more often, b/c it makes me clean the house and it’s just fun to talk and laugh w/ people.  Autumn is such a social butterfly and enjoys getting to interact w/ other people.
