Grocery Store & Slurpees

Work has been getting busier and busier lately and today was crazy.  I spent most of the day putting out fires w/ customers and coordinating schedules.  After work, Autumn & I went over to Mom & Dad’s and Autumn went right out into the garden to help Dad pick green beans.

I went in the house and helped Mom get dinner ready.  We had creamed peas & potatoes (from the garden), yellow squash w/ onions (from the garden), and green beans (from the garden).  I don’t think it could have been much fresher or healthier than that.

After we ate, Autumn wanted to go back outside and water the garden.  I did the dishes and then Mom showed me this new game on the iPad that she downloaded.  It’s a game where you are a person that runs a grocery store and you have to keep the shelves stocked, clean the store, make milkshakes, etc.  I became addicted and before I knew it, it was already 9:00.  Dad had taken Autumn to Home Depot to get some parts to fix the sprinklers and they stopped to get a “smoothie” on the way home.

As soon as they got back, I took Autumn home and put her to bed.  I told Nick I was NOT going to stay up late w/ him tonight to watch TV b/c I was so tired from being up until midnight last night.  I actually went to bed at 10:30, which is a good time for me.
