Even though I was up really late last night, I made myself wake up so I could get ready and go to the temple. I only went to the temple once in June, so I’ll need to go 3 times in July to keep my goal of 24 times this year. I called to make sure they were open today, and then I went home and showered and went to the 8:30 session. There were just 1 guy and 3 girls (including me) in the session. But, that’s 4 more people that have had their work done. I’m glad I went.
While I was gone, the kids got to have Texas waffles with Papa for breakfast. Lexie told them to make faces and this is what they did.
They even earned their keep by emptying the dishwasher and putting the silverware away.
Here’s the Hunky Head of the Household.
Lexie said Jon threw Autumn up in the air b/c he was throwing Andrew and she thought it looked like fun. But, that was the one and only time he threw her b/c she didn’t want to do it anymore after that.
After the temple, I stopped at Costco to get some things. I got some hamburger and hot dogs buns for Mom, fruit snacks and Capri Suns for Autumn’s lunch, and a big XXL bag of M&M’s for my church lesson tomorrow.
Lexie helped me label the snack size ziplock bags and put M&M’s in them.
The kids were restless and wanted to swim, but since everyone had gone swimming this morning they didn’t want to go again. So, I told them to sit on the back of this blanket and I would drag them around the house. They were laughing hysterically and we were having fun. After that, I helped Mom make some spaghetti and then we watched The Next Three Days. It was pretty good.
Eddy & a friend of his came over to work on the bathrooms. They textured the 2 upstairs bathrooms and then we had to force them to come downstairs and eat some food so they wouldn’t be starving.
The kids had been begging all day to go swimming, so I finally gave in and went out to swim with them. They’ve been doing so well at swimming. They thought it was so fun to get in the hot tub and push my head under the water. I would wait for a few seconds and then come popping out of the water to grab them.
We had to get a silly face picture.
Andrew & Autumn like to play a game where one of them (Andrew in this picture) pretends to be a drink barista and makes the person at the bar a drink (Autumn in this picture). I think in this one Autumn had ordered a coconut smoothie.
Since Autumn’s hair is so long, it drips all over the place after she gets out of the pool. And because of that, her back and butt are always wet. So, tonight I wrapped her hair up in a towel for the first time and she thought she was hot stuff and kept dancing around w/ her “turban.”
The kids played for a while and then Mom was hungry, so she made mac & cheese. They were both super tired, so to keep them entertained while the mac & cheese cooked, they played thumb wars. Except Andrew sings it, “one, two, three, four. I declare a thumb warrior.” We got a kick out of that. The kids ate their mac & cheese and then we watched a little TV and called it a night. Autumn & I slept in Nate’s bed b/c I didn’t want to drive home.
