Pre-Birthday Dinner For Nicky Snicky

Dad called me around 4:30 to say he was going to go pick up Autumn from “college.”  So, I just went straight to Mom & Dad’s house after work.  Autumn & Dad weren’t there yet b/c they had gone to play at the park.  We waited for Nick to get off of work at 6:00 and then went to Texas Road House.  It’s his birthday tomorrow, but we had his birthday dinner tonight b/c Dad is working tomorrow night.  Autumn got root beer for her drink and we were surprised when they brought out this root beer bottle.  She had fun drinking out of it even if it kind of looks like a beer bottle.

Mom & Dad are so good to us and take such good care of us.  I’m thankful everyday to have them as parents.

Autumn started out sitting next to me but went and sat between Mom & Dad when their salads came.  I had to get a picture of her sitting there b/c of the picture painted on the wall behind her.  I tell her all the time that she’s a Ponca Indian Princess.

Nick picked to go to Texas Road House b/c he loves their rolls and honey cinnamon butter.  We love them so much that we went through 4 baskets of rolls!  We told our waitress, Allie, that it was Nick’s birthday tomorrow and she made sure to have him sit on the special saddle and wave around his napkin while everyone clapped for him.

We were so incredibly stuffed that we took home more than half our meals.  We had 4 big boxes, which will be great for lunches tomorrow.  On the way out, Autumn wanted to sit on the special saddle.  I told her to wave her hand around in the air like she was riding a bull and this is what she did.  It looks like she’s throwing a gang sign.  LOL!

We went back to Mom & Dad’s house and watched the season premiere of Modern Family.  I can’t get enough of Cameron.  I loved how he kept trying to make a big production of announcing they want to adopt a baby boy.  Speaking of which, the girl they picked for 3 year old Lily does not look at all like the original Lily. That was disappointing, but other than that both episodes were funny and we enjoyed them.

We came home and I put Autumn to bed and watched The Great Food Truck Race.  The temps are starting to get cooler here at night, and I love leaving my windows open at night and waking up to a cold room.  Plus, it makes me feel like my house is clean and refreshed w/ “new” outside air instead of being stuffy.
