This morning as I was leaving the house, this was what the sunrise looked like. It was so gorgeous!
I went to the temple b/c I haven’t been since November. I made it a goal to go twice a month last year and I got pretty close to that goal, but then fizzled out at the end of the year b/c of the holidays and the temple being closed for cleaning. But, I still count it a success b/c I increased my temple attendance from the year before. It was a good session and I enjoy the Spirit and peace that come from being in the temple. I liked these white and purple plants (I call them cabbage plants b/c it sounds like Cabbage Patch) in the temple flowerbeds.
I came home and Nick said Autumn was a good girl and they had watched Peter Pan & Sleeping Beauty. I brought home some breakfast burritos from Chick Fil’A b/c we were all hungry. I changed clothes & Autumn and I went to get the oil changed in the car. She looked so stylin’ in her sunglasses while playing her “iPad.” I was glad we had that to keep her entertained while we waited for the oil change.
After that, we went to Mom & Dad’s house and just had some sandwiches for lunch. Dad went to work so Mom & Autumn & I watched the first 2 episodes of Downton Abbey so Mom will know what’s going on when we watch the new episodes. We would have watched more but they’re so long and Dad got home and they needed to go grocery shopping. While they were gone Autumn & I went on a walk around their neighborhood. I walked & she rode her bike. She’s getting really good at it, but I’ve noticed that she favors the right side on her training wheels. Now that she’s comfortable riding a bike I’ll have to take the training wheels off and help her learn to ride w/out them.
We came home b/c it was getting too cold and was starting to get dark. Mom & Dad brought back some cartons of strawberries, which are one of Autumn’s favorite treats. I cut them up and put agave nectar on them for her. It was funny to see them all lined up on the couch watching TV and Dad feeding them strawberries.
We came home and watched the new Johnny Lingo. It’s such a good movie and has a good moral to the story. Plus, it helps me get my Polynesian fix. I was super tired for some reason, so we both went to bed at 9:30! I haven’t gone to bed that early in a LONG time.
