Tonight our ward had a talent show, and I had signed Autumn up to bring some of her artwork to display. I didn’t notice the horrible glare on her display that’s up on the easel. But all of her artwork is colorful, and she got a lot of compliments from people on how great her artwork looks. I know it doesn’t look really “artsy”, but I wanted to give her the chance to show some of her art b/c little kids get up and play “Twinkle, twinkle little star” on the piano, so why can’t she show her amateur artwork? I’m so proud of her & the little artist that she is.
There were all sorts of chili and cornbread, but my favorite chili was some chicken and white bean chili. They had a talent show for people that wanted to play the piano or sing or dance. The final act was this cover band that had huge 80’s wigs. It was a lot of fun, and it cracked me up to see guys that I am used to seeing in suits and ties at church being all wild and crazy. It made me laugh that their “groupies” were all the little Primary kids. It was a great night and I’m glad Autumn & I went.
