Crayon Throw Up Art

I have to document that Autumn slept in her own bed all last night for the first time (probably EVER)!!!  She always starts in her own bed, but always ends up in bed w/ me.  Last night she came to get in bed w/ me and I told her to go get back in her own bed and she did after a little bit of fussing.  WOO HOO!!!

Mom & Riannon pieced together the top of this quilt, and then Nate & Riannon (yes, Nate helped quilt it) used Mom’s machine & quilted it for Baby Olivia.  They even wrote her name in the quilting.  So cute!

For our Young Women’s activity tonight, we did crayon art.  We just hot glued crayons to these canvases and then used our blow dryers to melt the wax and make art.

Rachel C’s was working perfectly and looked so cool just dripping down the canvas.

Rachel S. had her blow dryer on high heat, which made these cool splatters.  She said that hers looked like “Crayon throw up!”  LOL!  All of a sudden, all 3 blow dryers quit working at once.  We just looked at each other and started laughing.  I guess we had blown a fuse!  WHOOPS!  So, we took a break and went down to the kitchen and they decorated the cake I had brought and we ate that for dessert.  It was a fun & crafty activity.
