I left work early today so I could make it to Autumn’s Parent/Teacher Conference by 4:45. I just love her teacher, b/c she’s strict but loving. She said Autumn’s writing and reading levels are right where they should be, but that she needs a little extra attention when it comes to number sequence & recognition. She said that Autumn is so incredibly sweet and kind and everyone loves her. That makes me so happy to hear, b/c I’ve told Autumn the 2 rules we have are that 1) we always try our best and 2) that we’re nice to EVERYONE! I appreciate so much all that Autumn’s teacher does.
Ben’s Mom picked Autumn up from school today and took all the kids to the library for Ninja Night. They had crafts and fun things there. She is SO AWESOME to include Autumn in fun things like that. After my parent/teacher conference, I went over to their house & got Autumn. She said they had a great time. We went over to Papa & Mimi’s and had dinner, and then it was time for cheer practice.
Usually I just drop Autumn off at 6:45 and got to Young Women’s & Mom picks her up. But I didn’t have Young Women’s tonight b/c we have a youth temple trip tomorrow night instead. So, I stayed at her practice since it’s just an hour long. Luckily I had this good book to fill the time. It’s definitely different than the first book b/c it’s more of a murder mystery.
After practice we came home, I let her watch a little TV to unwind from the day, and then it was bedtime. I was reading my book around 10:30 when Autumn started couching and came out of her room and threw up on the carpet. Luckily she’s not sick, it’s just clear phlegm but she was so upset and freaking out. I told her it was OK and that we’d get it cleaned up. Poor thing!
I stayed up late to finish my book and was really freaked out b/c it gets intense. I ended up leaving the lamp on in my room so I could go to sleep. It’s nights like these where it would be nice to have a husband to curl up next to instead of being alone and afraid. LOL!
