Super Sunday

Today at church I taught in Laurels, and can I just say that I LOVE teaching?  Our lesson was on “How can I become more Christlike?” I gave the girls this self reflection list and then we listened to the hymn “More Holiness Give Me.” I had previously talked to one of the girls about picking one line in that hymn that she wanted us to discuss in class.  She picked, “more pride in His glory, more hope in His word.”  Then they split up into groups and delved into that and what it means.  It was a GREAT discussion and I’m so impressed w/ them and their great insights.

After church Autumn & I came home and I put a pizza in the oven and got busy making pumpkin bars & fudge for the Single Adult fireside tonight.  We had a pizza picnic in the living room, and then went over to Mom & Dad’s house.

I did the dishes then watched Downton Abbey.  It was another good episode, just like usual.  After that Autumn wanted to snuggle in Papa & Mimi’s bed.  She picked to watch The Swan Princess III … needless to say, I fell asleep and took a nap.  Mom came in & we talked for a while before I had to leave for the Single Adult (SA) fireside.

The Pickups talked to us about how we put oil in our spiritual lamps.  They did such a great job and it was more of a discussion instead of them just talking to us.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the refreshments I brought, and I’m glad I had enough.  We got everything cleaned up and were out of there by 8:30.  It was a super Sunday.
