The last hour of work today was crazy. But, I did get some AMAZING news. I got an email saying that I was chosen to be in the live studio audience for a class from someone I really look up to!!! I’m so EXCITED!!! Now I need to see if I can arrange a bunch of things, or else I won’t be able to go. Instead of going home tonight, I went into Dallas. Traffic was horrible, as you can see.
Mom & Dad & Autumn & I went to see our home team football team compete in their first round game for the 2013 UIL State Football Championship. We were there an hour early so we could get good seats. I had fun waiting for kickoff w/ my favorite Eagles cheerleader!
Our band is huge, but I wanted to post this pic to show how empty the stands were on the other side. We were the visiting team and our side was completely filled up even though it was an hour drive to their stadium. Yet the home teams side was so sparse.
We were sitting at the very to top of the bleachers, and right before half time the dance team was warming up below us. Autumn & I walked down there and asked if she could get a picture w/ them. They were so sweet to her.
I love these people so much and am thankful every single day that Heavenly Father sent us to each other. We missed having the rest of our family here w/ us.
As you can see from the scoreboard, we won. Autumn & I left before the 4th quarter was over b/c it was already 9:30 pm and we have a big day tomorrow. During the whole game, she only had one pom pom. I asked her when I first got there where the other one was, and she said she had left in the car. So, when we went to leave we checked Papa & Mimi’s car and it was not there! I called Mom & Dad, who were still at the game. They looked around the bleachers and even underneath them once the game was over, but they couldn’t find it either. Nick was home from work by this point, so I called him to see if it was there. It wasn’t. Usually it wouldn’t be a big deal, but Autumn has cheer competition tomorrow. I texted her coach to see if she had an extra pair of pom poms, but she didn’t.
A huge prayer was answered b/c one Autumn’s teammates and her family are out of town, but that girl’s Mom said we could borrow her pom poms. She said her neighbor would put them out on the porch for us to pick up in the morning!!! A huge blessing!

Wow that band is huge - we just don't do bands like that here in Canada! That much traffic would make me go crazy but at least you had a good time at the game :)
I am watching you right now on the show.
