Today was stake conference, and Autumn did really well for having to stay reverent for 2 hours. When we got home she was really hungry so she got some yogurt. When she was done, she accidentally threw the spoon away w/ the yogurt cup. I made her get it out of the trash, and it reminded me of an identical scenario when I was a little girl. I remember that we were living in the castle house in SLC, so I was really young. I was watching The Flintstones and threw the spoon away on accident b/c I was in a rush to get back to the Flintstones. Mom made me empty out the trash can to find the spoon, and there was some nasty food in there. I remember lots of gagging and tears. I never did find the spoon, I got sent to my room, and I missed the Flintstones. Isn’t it funny that I remember such a silly thing? I’m glad Autumn had a better experience b/c we didn’t have anything gross in the trash and she found the spoon.
These huge trees at the entrance to Mom & Dad’s subdivision are so beautiful w/ these vibrant fall colors. We had to pull over and snap a pic.
After we ate lunch, we were watching football and Autumn set up a little comfy spot for some of her stuffed animals & dolls to watch with us. She’s such a good little Mom/nurturer.
The weather was so beautiful outside, so we went out to enjoy it. This isn’t the best picture, but I love it b/c it shows how long & curly Autumn’s hair is, she’s carrying her Fancy Nancy doll, and she has her shirt on backwards b/c the big design was on the back and she thought it should have been on the front.
After playing in the backyard for a while, she found some white rocks and said they write on the concrete like chalk. So, we went to the driveway and did some sidewalk art. Fancy Nancy even got in on the action.
Emma was so stinky, so Mom put her in the kitchen sink to give her a bath. This puts into perspective just how cute and little Emma really is.
I’m so glad she’s a part of our family, and it makes me sad that she’s getting so old and can’t jump up or down onto the couch anymore. We have to pick her up and put her down. She had to have most of her teeth pulled a long time ago, so her little pink tongue is always sticking out just a little bit. But, we love her so much and are glad she’s a part of our family.
At 5:00 Autumn & I went over to the Dakins so she can see the guest room she’ll be staying in this week while I am gone to California. She is going to have so much fun and I’m excited for her!
