I Like To Slap

Tonight Autumn & I were going through the papers in her backpack before we started her reading homework.  Does anyone else feel like they’re drowning in papers brought home from school???  I usually put them in a pile on the table & then once Autumn has gone to bed, I put them in the recycle bin.  She has yet to ask about where her papers have gone, so it’s a system that works for us.  Anyways, as I was looking through her papers tonight I found this gem and had to keep it.  I asked her what it was about and tried really hard not to laugh.  She said that the assignment was to use a word that started w/ the letters “sl”.  Then they had to write a sentence using that word.  I asked her if she likes to slap people and she just laughed and said no, which is why the girl she drew in the picture is smiling.  What a kid!

  Once Nick got home from work, I went over to Christine’s to watch the Bachelor, but we all just ended up talking until 12:10 am!  That was totally fine by me, b/c I’m really not that interested in watching the Bachelor this year.  I just love spending time w/ the girls.  We talk and laugh and share our struggles and triumphs.  I’m getting so excited for Christine’s wedding on Saturday!
