I have had a hankerin’ for Firehouse subs for a week, so today at lunch I went & got one. I love how festive their table tops are. I tried the Engineer & it was good, but Hook & Ladder is still my favorite. I don’t know what they do to make their sandwiches so flavorful, but they are delectable.
Tonight for Young Women’s we had a fun activity where we did a few things to prep for Trek this summer. The girls got into groups of 3 and had to create a little poster about one of the standards in For The Strength Of Youth. Then each group got up & shared/taught us about the standard on their poster. Then we went outside & split into 2 teams for a relay race. 2 girls had to run around 6 picnic tables, then they tagged 2 girls who had to take some logs and put them into 1 of 4 fire formations, then one girl had to get in a wheelbarrow while the other one pushed her down & around a log, and then one girl had to carry another girl on her back to the tent & everyone on the team had to build the tent. It was really windy & fun & we were all yelling & laughing like crazy. Good times!
The fun didn’t end there! I tried getting a group picture & told them to hold Sis. Lee, b/c we had done that before in the past. They were laughing to hard & almost dropped her!!! Luckily they didn’t. For the treat we had Chex mix trail mix & homemade root beer. It was a super fun activity!
