Out With The Old, In With The New

The weather & sunset today were so great. The temperature was 78 degrees! It doesn’t feel like winter at all, and I’m totally ok with that.
 Autumn & I had dinner and then we had to go to WalMart for some things we weren’t able to get at Winco last night. I needed a big glass drink dispenser for Young Women’s, and a new blender. I was using our old & ghetto blender yesterday morning to make smoothies for breakfast, and the bottom of it came out when it was blending! Milk & fruit spilled out everywhere onto the counter. I got that mess cleaned up & when I plugged the blender in to finish making our smoothies, it wouldn’t turn off! It kept going even though I was hitting the off button. So, that went in the trash and we got a new one. I also stocked up on food that Nick knows how to make for himself.

During our YW pres meeting on Sunday, one of my counselors said how much she liked this plaid chair I have in the formal living/dining room. It was given to us when we first moved out of Mom & Dad’s house and had no furniture. It’s a great & comfy chair, but it just sits there and never gets used so I told her she could have it. She kept saying no, b/c she didn’t want me to give it to her just b/c she said she liked it. I insisted that she take it, b/c it just sits there and never gets used. We are hardly ever in this room anyways. She gave it a few days to make sure I didn’t want to change my mind, and when I reaffirmed to her that I REALLY wanted her to have it, she and her husband came and picked it up tonight. I’m glad they will use it and enjoy it.
