Today Dad spent the day w/ Grandpa since it’s Grandma Johnson’s birthday and he misses her so terribly much. They went to the store and got balloons and flowers and took them to her gravesite. This picture is so tender and yet so heartbreaking at the same time. I’m so glad Dad was able to be there today w/ Grandpa.
Tonight we invited Nate & Riannon & Olivia to come over for dinner (Nick’s not in the picture b/c he was still at work). I had to document it, b/c we never eat at this table and we never have company over for dinner. YAY us for branching out.
Olivia is so cute and loved playing w/ Autumn’s dolls and toys b/c they are all new to her. But the thing she loved most was trying to climb the stairs. My house is so NOT baby proof and we had to keep going over and stopping her from climbing the stairs. After we ate, Autumn & I went over to the church so I could get my stake temple recommend interview. Autumn just sat out in the lobby and waited while I was getting my interview. It feels so good to be able to answer all the questions w/ a clear conscience. That doesn’t mean that I’m perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But, there have been times in my life when I wasn’t worthy of a temple recommend, and so I appreciate being able to have one and renew it so much more.
