Humphrey The Hamster

I was surprised when we pulled out of the garage this morning to see how foggy it was! This was on our drive to Autumn's school (we were stopped at a stop light so it was safe to take a picture), and there's a huge apartment complex just beyond the fog. It was weird not to be able to see it even though we were so close to it!

 Autumn wanted to play w/ her hamster tonight, but he's not very friendly and cuddly. He likes to try to bite her if she tries to pet him or pick him up. So, we got out this little kiddie blow up pool and put him in it so he could run around and we could interact w/ him more. I don't think he was a big fan of it, b/c he kept trying to climb up the sides. Autumn channeled her inner Rapunzel to use her hair to try and help him escape but that didn't work.

I kept trying to get a picture of him b/c he really is a cute little thing. I must have taken at least 29 pictures, and this is the best one I got. He was just so fast and was just a streak of fur in most of the pictures. I wish we could have a cute dog or other animal that is more cuddly and friendly, but we're gone all day so that wouldn't be fair to the puppy. So, for now we'll just be happy w/ our easy-to-care-for fish & hamster.
