Heel Prick, Baby Aubrey Update, & Visitors

This morning we got up and took the baby to the hospital to get her neonatal newborn screening test (or the heel prick). She did great and didn't even cry when they did it or when they squeezed her heel to get enough blood on each circle. It probably helped that I was feeding her a bottle & she was sleepy.

Marissa posted this on Facebook to show all that our poor Aubrey has been through. The before, during, and after. It amazes me how the human body is able to heal itself. We're beyond thankful that all went well and that Aubrey is on the road to recovery.

Riannon & the kids stopped by this afternoon to see the baby. Poor Spencer doesn't know the meaning of the words "soft and gentle." He just has so much love that he wants to share.

Lynette stopped by to say hi, and she brought us dinner! She had called the other day to see how we were doing and insisted on bringing us dinner even though I told her we were doing great. She is such a thoughtful & loving & kind person!

She brought us enchiladas, the juiciest strawberries, and even yummy cookie dough for dessert. So thankful for her generosity.
