10th Anniversary Of Tara's Death

Little Miss likes to take baths, and this little netted thing has been so great. I can't believe her legs stick out over the edge, though. She's just growing way too fast!

We went & dropped Autumn off at her cheer coach's house, went and picked up Rachel, and got on the road. I had a bathroom emergency and the place we stopped claimed to have the "best tacos breakfast & lunch." Based on how their one bathroom looked, I wouldn't eat there if you paid me to. But I was desperate for a restroom so something (as shady as it was) is better than nothing.

We met up at the cemetery to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Tara's passing. The 26th was a few days ago, but not everyone could get together until today. I was so happy to see tiger lily flowers surrounding her headstone, b/c those were her favorites. I also LOVE that her picture is on the headstone. I want something like that on mine.

From left to right: Eve (her best friend in high school), Rachel (her roommate & friend in college), Michael (her husband), me, Frank, Alisa, Krystina (her SIL - Michael's sister) & Jeremy (her brother). We laughed & cried & shared stories and favorite memories about Tara.

We met up w/ Tara's Mom & her new husband at Olive Garden to eat & talk more about Tara.

After that, we went to Tara's Mom's house to visit some more. It was so tender to see Mama Deb holding Alisa. Tara wasn't able to have children due to her medical condition & all the medications she was on. I even offered to be a surrogate for Tara & Michael if they wanted to have children but Tara died before that was even a possibility.

It was getting late and we had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us so we had to say our goodbyes and leave. OF COURSE we had to stop at Buc-ee's on the way home since it was right off the highway. Frank got to experience it for the first time. I got a melty ham sandwich & some beaver nuggets. YUM!!!

While we were off doing that, Autumn's coach was a doll and took Autumn to their cheer game today.

It was homecoming, so the girls had to get a picture w/ the football players. It's been so neat to be a part of this Lions team/family.

Cheryl called to say she was working concessions at a game tonight & they were going to throw away a ton of hot dogs that didn't sell. Instead of them being thrown away, she brought them home to feed her family. They had so many extra that she called to see if we wanted any. I was thankful to have so many to feed our hungry boys!
