We were SO SAD to pack up all of our stuff and go back to reality today. We all went and had breakfast and then got in line to get off the boat. We actually made it through customs super quick and easily!
Then we had to sit and wait for over an hour for our shuttle to take us back to our cars. Luckily Olivia was willing to share her bag of birthday Cheetos with all the kids.
Frank & I were talking about how special it was for the 4 boys to room together and get to spend so much time together! Their dynamic will be so different in a few months when Spencer graduates and goes on a mission. This was like their last big hoorah together before things change dramatically.
I guess word got around in the seagull community that we had food, b/c all of a sudden out of nowhere a BUNCH of seagulls were hovering over us looking for food! Poor Lexie was the most in jeopardy of getting pooped on!
Of course, Nate egged them on by holding food up in the air for them to swoop down and grab.
Our shuttle finally came and we were able to load up and get out of Galveston. We stopped at Buc-ee's to get gas, use the restrooms, and get some food. I wish I would have realized here that we didn't grab Alisa's suitcase! I didn't realize it until we had been home for a few days!!! Luckily Grant's girlfriend, Kelsea, lives in Houston and she went and got it for us and will give it to Grant the next time he sees her!
We came home, unpacked, did laundry, and got ready for work and school tomorrow. I'll have A LOT of catching up to do, b/c I had over 100 emails!!!
