Doughnuts, Dollars, & Date Night

Autumn woke up to quite a few surprises this morning.  First of all was that Papa AND Mimi came over.  Not only did they bring doughnuts, they also brought kolaches (since Mimi can’t have doughnuts w/ her diabetes).  How many kids get to eat treats in bed w/ both their grandparents?

After eating, it was time to check out what the tooth fairy brought her.  She got $1 (or as she says “one bill of dollars”) for her tooth, and Papa was saying he thinks he remembers his kids getting $10 for their tooth.  BA HA HA!  We were lucky if the tooth fairy brought us a quarter.

After school/work, we hurried to Mom & Dad’s house b/c Autumn could not wait to see Andrew.  Lexie & Andrew & Jackson came up to visit for the week b/c Andrew is out of school.  Jon didn’t come b/c he still has to work next week.  Liz & Liberty came over and brought Baby Jacob so we could babysit him.  That was my Christmas gift to them…a date night.  They went out to eat and then went to see the Sherlock Holmes movie.  Jacob was a complete angel and slept most of the time they were gone.  I was able to help Mom make butterhorn rolls for the party tomorrow.

We got out the exersaucer for Baby Jackson, but I think Autumn & Andrew had more fun w/ it than Jackson did.  They were playing w/ all the different things on it and were entertained for quite a while.

We watched Family Man while waiting for the rolls to raise.  Autumn wanted to hold Baby Jackson & was so cute w/ him and kept getting him to smile.  It was funny to see Baby Jacob next to Jackson b/c Jackson is so big.  By this time, it was 10:30 so everyone went to bed except for Lexie & I.  We stayed up until Liz & Liberty came to get Jacob.  He was seriously such a good baby and I loved getting to feed him a bottle and snuggle him.  I was planning on going home after that, but I didn’t want to wake up Autumn so we just spent the night.  Lexie & I ended up staying up until 2:30 am talking!  We haven’t had a late night sister talk in a long time, so even though we will be super tired tomorrow it was more than worth it.  I love Lexie & am so glad we are sisters and get to live close enough that we see each other often.
