Mom said everyone was on their own tonight, so I stopped & got a Little Caesar’s pizza & crazy bread for dinner for Nick & Autumn & I. On the way home from daycare, Autumn was doing her reading homework. We got home before she had finished her book, so we sat in the car for another 8 minutes while she finished reading her book. The light in the car went off on us twice & it was dark in the garage (don’t worry, the car wasn’t on). I’m THRILLED that she’s so into reading & was so excited to read me her book that she didn’t want to go inside until it was done. I was more than happy to listen to her read out in the car.
When she finished her book, we came in the house and did a little bit of homework that she had. Then she wanted to watch a movie while she worked on her Rainbow Loom. We watched Anastasia, and I just love that movie from when I was a kid. I still remember 99% of the words to all the songs. My favorite part is when Bartok the Bat says, “and then I’d kick her sir,” and “this can only end in tears.” Good times!
