As you can see, Dad has been HARD AT WORK in his garden. The left hand side of the picture is how it ALL used to look ... overrun w/ weeds, grass, and just looking a HOT MESS. Then Dad put his green thumb to work and look how gorgeous the flowerbeds on the right look! It's amazing to me how fast the garden, flower beds, yard, etc get taken over if they're not kept up with on a regular basis. The same can be said for our spiritual lives. If we're not diligent and careful and always working on on spiritual nourishment then we soon start to look like the flowerbeds on the left instead of the flowerbeds on the right! It's a good reminder for me!!!
I went over to Liz's today to help her organize her food and give her some tips and pointers on the new healthy lifestyle she'll be starting next month. I NEVER thought in a million years that I would be in a position to help someone else w/ weight loss. It's great to feel (and look) so much better.
