Sick Sunday

Frank & Grant are sick, and the rest of us felt like we needed an extra day of rest. So, we stayed home from church today. Autumn's glasses broke right in half. I blame it on her sleeping in them even though I have told her several times not to. We tried to super glue them, but that didn't hold so she taped them for now.

Since we were all home, we got down the tree & Christmas decorations. Autumn got feisty & wouldn't let the boys help b/c she said it was a "Mom & Autumn tradition." I felt bad that I hadn't talked to her before about how we have to let go of our "just the 2 of us traditions" and make room for EVERYONE in the family now.

The boys went back to their rooms, so it was just Autumn & I decorating the tree. I let her set up the train by herself.

When Frank got up, he said he could try & fix Autumn's glasses. He heated up his knife blade in the gas from the stove and then he "melted" the plastic part together. It worked for most of the day, but then her glasses broke again. DARN IT!

Autumn snuck away to mine & Frank's room to watch TV b/c she said the rest of us were being too loud. The 2 boys went in there and literally carried her back into the living room to spend time w/ us. LOL!

I was scrolling on Facebook & saw that a friend from church had posted that she put a free dresser out on her curb for anyone that wanted it. She had posted it about 2 hours ago, so I texted her to see if it was still there! It was, so we all hopped in the truck super fast, rushed over there, got it, and brought it home. Frank & the boys took it upstairs for Grant to have somewhere to store all of his clothes. It's a super nice dresser & even has a mirror that attaches to it. YAY!

Everyone was hungry when we got home at 9:45 pm, even though we had had soup & cheddar biscuits for dinner. Frank was showing Spencer how to make a yummy cheese omelette. It's going to be rough getting up early tomorrow for seminary & work & school after having 4 days off!
