We've been watching for about a week as the purple Iris in the front flower beds have shot up & gotten buds on them. Well, today one of them finally bloomed & it's GORGEOUS! This is what it looked like on the way out the door this morning.
This is what it looked like when we got home today. You can see in the bottom right hand corner of the picture that there are several more buds that are ready to bloom. My favorite part of the Iris is the almost animal looking print towards the middle of the flower. Nature blows my mind & I have such a great appreciation for it. Spring is by far my FAVORITE season b/c everything comes back to life after winter and starts to grow & it's so beautiful.
