First Of The Last Cheer Practices

I got up early this morning & took Autumn to her first cheer practice of the season. This will be her final season of cheering, b/c the city sports association doesn't offer cheer past 6th grade.

While she was at cheer, I helped Frank with yard work. As you can tell from his sweat stained shirt, it was already super hot outside even though we got an early start.

We put Alisa in the stroller and kept her outside with us while we worked. As you can tell from her closed eyes, she's not used to the bright sunlight.

Autumn's coach is AMAZING and has made this cheer team seem more like a family. After each practice she feeds the girls & has them do a team craft. Today they made spirit ribbon wands. She's phenomenal and blows my mind with all that she does for these girls.

After Autumn came home, I took her over to her friend Lauren's house. They're friends and school and have been Facetiming a lot this summer b/c they're both home all day and get bored. I'm thankful Autumn has good friends.

While Autumn was at Lauren's house, I took Frank to lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant. It was a way to thank him for going above & beyond today to help a lady in our ward. She's a single divorced Mom, and her tire went flat. She was going to call a tow truck to have them tow her truck to the tire store! So, I told her Frank & I could come over to look at it.

It ended up being an all afternoon event. We didn't just change the tire, but had to take it to see if it could be repaired. We took it to one tire place b/c it's close, but they called several hours later to tell us it wasn't repairable and had to be replaced. So, we went and picked up the tire from them, went and got Kendra, and took it to a place she uses. We dropped off the tire and they said to come back in a few hours. So, we took her home, ran a few errands, went and picked up the tire, and went back to her place to put it on.

I felt so bad for Frank b/c it was hot out and he was sweating up a storm (after having gotten cleaned up after yard work) taking the tire off and then again putting it back on. Plus, his back is KILLING HIM and to be up and down and laying on the ground and lifting the tire and tools was so hard on him. I stopped by Taco Bell & got his favorite food there and had a nice hot bubble bath waiting for him when he got home. What a guy!
