I am frustrated with my car situation right now. My car has been to the dealership FOUR times b/c it keeps dying on me. This last time, we were all excited b/c the check engine light finally came on so it gave the mechanics something to go on. My contact at the dealership texted and said they finally got the fuel pump replaced and my car was ready to be picked up. We have really enjoyed getting to use this Chevy Equinox loaner car b/c it's a step up in size from the Trax.
I got to the dealership, turned in the loaner, got my car (which seems MUCH smaller than I remember it ... I felt like I was driving a clown car ... LOL), and we headed home. We got 3 exits down the freeway when the gas pedal suddenly quit working. Luckily I was in the fast lane so I was able to drift onto the left-hand shoulder which was a nice double-wide shoulder.
I called my guy at the dealership and he was completely flabbergasted and frustrated also. He sent someone from the dealership to come get me and Alisa and take us back to get another loaner car. They also sent a tow truck to come get the car. I'm frustrated that I just spent $350 for a car that is still broken. Plus, that was the cost even though there is an extended warranty on the car! I'm really hoping they can get it fixed this FIFTH time around!
I even looked into the "lemon law" but in Texas that only covers vehicles that are less than 24,000 miles or 2 years old. My car is way past both of those limits. But it's not an old car, it's only 3 years old.
Autumn has to read this book for school, so I decided I should read it too so I can know what it's about and help her w/ homework. I didn't realize it was written by a 16 year old girl! It took me one night (5 1/2 hours) to read it. I am glad it didn't have any sex or bad language. I wasn't thrilled about all the violence, but overall it was a good read. I know there's a movie that was made, and I've seen a few clips of it on YouTube.
