Fry bread and Indian Tacos

Steven and Jason really wanted their mom's fry bread. So, we went over to Steven's apartment for the yummy treat. I don't think Michele knew what she was getting herself into. Yet she made do with what she had.

Steven took one bite and was in 7th heaven. He said he's tried making fry bread before, but it's nowhere near as good as him mom's. I think all of us feel that way...it's always better when mom makes it.

I watched her make them so I could try and learn. She makes the dough and kneads it until it looks really soft and fluffy. Then she pats down the middle after she breaks off a piece to fry. That way it leaves the little hole in the middle you can see here to fill with meat and beans and what not.

This isn't a very good picture, but this what they look like made up. You can put meat, beans, salsa, onions, lettuce, etc on them. Basically whatever you would put on Mexican tacos. The bread really was super good and just a little bit sweet. It would be yummy as scones. It was a nice treat to have, and I'm sure it was even more yummy to Jason and Steven since the memories of having that as kids makes it even better.

What's one of your favorite things your mom makes unlike anyone else?

dinner. just dinner. That means I'm not making it. It's always better when mom makes dinner. ESPECIALLY if it's lasagne...
