Texas Stadium or Bust

Jason, Michele, and Serg came to visit this weekend. They came down on Friday, and took longer than expected b/c of the traffic coming from OK to TX for the Texas vs. OU game. Saturday we wanted to get out and do something, but avoid the State Fair b/c of the crowds and commotion. So we went and took the Texas Stadium Tour. I highly recommend it. It's $12 per person, but way worth it.

They show you the suites that people own. This is the buffet room where Jana, Keith, Nick, Mom and I ate last Sunday at the game.

This is the tunnel where the Cowboys run out and onto the field. I held Autumn and we ran down it. FUN FUN FUN! When we walked out onto the field, it was AMAZING. The place is huge, and even though I was there just last weekend to watch the game, it was completely different to be down on the field and imagine the place filled with fans. WOW!

We got to see the locker room and took pics in front of different player's lockers. It really was not fancy at all. The carpet was old, and the bathroom was straight out of the 70's. I'm so mad at myself for not taking a picture of a sign in the bathroom above the sink that said, "Do not re-use razors. Please discard of used razors." I don't know why, but that just made me laugh.

I don't know if we got jipped, or if my parents and Jana and Keith got lucky. They went last week and got to throw a football around, kick field goals, etc. We got there, and there was a pee wee football game going on. So, we were lucky to get to run out on the field during their half time and get our picture taken on the star in the middle of the field really quick. That would have been cool to get to throw a football around. But it was a neat experience to be on the field none the less. The field feels like fake Christmas tree material.

We got to sit on the Cowboy's bench. It was SO DANG HOT AND HUMID! Those fans were on and felt so good. I learned a lot of interesting facts. For instance, the field has a 2 foot grade on it so the water will fun off. So the middle of the field is 2 feet higher than the end zones! Crazy, huh?

We felt like we got the VIP treatment and itw as a fun tour. That's the tour guide in the white T-shirt. I highly recommend the tour to anyone that's in the Dallas area and looking for something fun to do. It only took about an hour, and was so much fun. Now when I see the Cowboys play on TV I can say that I've stood on that field, I've been in the locker room, and I've run down the tunnel. Pretty dang cool!

$500,000? for a suite? in a football stadium? Some people have too much money and I think they need to share with me!
