We got up, cooked some butterhorn rolls (so good they melt in your mouth), scrapple (for Christmas morning breakfast), got cleaned up, packed up all our stuff, and drove over to Tyler's for our Johnson Christmas party. We had some super yummy food and then we teased Tyler that his party "lagged". He wouldn't let us watch a movie or play games, so we just sat around and talked, which was fun, but he was so worried that his party was "lagging", b/c he "can't have a lagging party" so of course we teased him about that. I took Autumn upstairs and put her down for nap, and we fell asleep in the rocking chair.
We had to wait for Nick to get off work at 2:00 and for him and Dad to come to the party. They got there around 3:30 and we opened gifts. The best one was this shirt that Lexie & Jon found for Uncle Robert. He was fixing the shed of his farm last year and a nail ricocheted off the wood and got stuck right in his eye. Luckily, he's had a few surgeries and can still see. But we love to tease him. So they found this Simpsons shirt that says Man At Work and has Homer holding a drill up to his eye.
Then Dad made these sunglasses with a nail sticking out of the lens. I'm glad Uncle Robert is a good sport and doesn't mind us teasing him, b/c it really is super funny.
We packed up and came home to do our Christmas Eve traditions. We always get to open one present, and it's always new PJ's...that way we look nice in all the Christmas morning pictures. Here are mine and Lexie's.
I also helped mom make some sour cream braided bread for Christmas morning breakfast. Then we had to go to bed so Santa could come!
