Autumn and I left for our quick Utah trip today. It was such a coincidence and blessing that Curt just happened to be on the same flight. He came and picked us up at 6:30 and then we went and picked up his hockey friend and his son that Curt was going to Utah with. We got the airport, got all checked in, grabbed some breakfast at McDonald's and then just sat and waited for the flight. It all went so smoothly, and I'm glad he was there, b/c I wouldn't have been able to push Autumn in the stroller, pull 2 suitcases, and carry her car seat. Autumn was great on the plane and fell asleep right after take off and woke up right before landing. She was cute and everyone on the plane said how good she was when we were getting off.
While on the plane, she had the STINKIEST gas. I found out why as soon as we got to Rufio's...she was sick to her stomach. She had a blow out and then was still sick to her tummy the rest of the night (she also ended up pooping through all 4 pairs of jammies I brought her).
The kids in Rufio's basement moved to the front apartment, so I went downstairs and got pics of the apartment I used to live in. There were SO many memories made in that apartment. That's where I got to spend time with Rufio and it was so fun being so close to her, that's where Tara & I lived while she was finishing up school and was engaged to Michael, that's where I had lots of good friends over, and that's where Jason and I spent our lovey dovey dating days.
It was so touching to see Rufio and Autumn interact. I know they've missed seeing each other.
Rufio was especially cute with her and was down on the floor crawling around with her. It's a little piece of heaven on earth to sit and watch a great grandma kiss and enjoy her great granddaughter and vice versa.
